I completed my Ph.D. in Clinical/Counseling Psychology at Utah State University, predoctoral clinical internship at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and postdoctoral training at Boston University and CBTeam. My research focuses on developing, evaluating, and disseminating personalized interventions guided by behavioral and process-based principles. Specific topics of interest include process-based therapy (PBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), OCRDs, and perfectionism. A growing area of interest is examining how to leverage artificial intelligence (e.g., large language models) to improve scalability of personalized treatments. I have co-authored four books: a treatment guide for process-based therapy, A Process-Based Approach to Psychotherapy; a transdiagnostic ACT manual, ACT in Steps; a self-help book for perfectionism, The Anxious Perfectionist; and a self-help book for hoarding, Making Space for What Matters. Outside work, I like rock climbing, reading cozy mysteries, and watching sports documentaries.
